Reduce delay of multipath TCP in IoT networks

Abstract Multi-homed devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptops are enabled with multiple heterogeneous interfaces available for transmission. Those can be utilized simultaneous transmission of a single TCP flow using Multipath (MPTCP). MPTCP is protocol that designed to increase end-to-end throughput reliability communications by splitting data through parallel paths. Although delay in enhanced significantly the recent years, high number transmissions remains an issue. In this paper, we reduce reducing Opportunistic Routing (OR) technique. OR routing model used delivery rate wireless networks broadcasting method. This enables each subflow delivered relays. We adapted on protocols namely, traditional MPTCP, Traffic Splitting Control (MPTCP-TSC) Redundant (ReMP TCP) Internet Things (IoT) environment. The results show OR-based schemes outperform existing schemes. further compared terms startup energy efficiency. found ReMP better than other all scenarios.
